Research
The research library of the Fauquier History Museum at the Old Jail is open by appointment only. Please email info@fauquierhistory.org to make one. We have very limited genealogical files at the museum so we recommend the Gott Library in Marshall, Virginia for genealogical research.
When conducting research for others, the first hour is free; there will be a $25 fee for each additional hour of research. We will email those requesting research to confirm that they wish for us to proceed. The Society cannot guarantee that research will be successful; the research fee is non-refundable.
If we will be printing copies of documents and mailing them to you (rather than sending digital files), there will be an additional expense to cover the costs of copies and postage.
If you wish us to perform research for you, click here to complete a request form. We will contact you to confirm before proceeding with any research.
